It might help if you told people where you're based.

I'm in Peterborough for what it's worth, which probably isn't far enough north to count.

Hi Carl Here

I Run Wargames Workshop in Northampton, and we have a few players here and play most weeks at one of the local clubs too.

We are holding our next tournament on Sunday 31st JULY, at our store in NORTHAMPTON!

Its Free, and we open at 11am and probably first round will start at about 11.30am.

WARGAMES WORKSHOP, 3 Abington Square, Northampton, NN1 4AE, my phone is 07931 775263

We have a friendly lots and the Regionals where held here only a couple of months ago so hope to see some friendly faces, and it was a great fun day, so well worth coming down as hope it will be a good one again.

regards Carl

Cheers for letting us know there are some other players out there

Hi

Great to hear from other players too, we have a good number of players at my local club about 8 and 4 came to the last tournament we held, also some players from birmingham and peterborough too.

I think our location, some mean that we could get a good regurlar meeting point going if we can as london and birmingham are both just about 1 hours drive.

Feel free to call should you wish to chat Warhammer Invasion any time, and hope to see you if you can make it.

Regards Carl

It's north then (even if it's only by about 20 miles)

Fully intending to be there for this one, the 31st is about the only weekend in July that I'm free!

I'd love to be there on the 31st of July gents but unfortunately I'm going to be lying on a golden white sandy beech in Cancun Mexico, surrounded by beautiful women in bikini's, destroying my Kidneys with the large amount of all-inclusive beer that I'll be drinkiing.

But let me know when the next one is and I will endevour to be there.

Carl its probably worth dropping the event details on in its own thread to get maximum exposure.

The long haired one is absolutely owning me at the moment with a very nasty chaos deck.....  eats unit based decks alive, I don't know the Italians are moaning about VTHC so much. If you don't have a unit on it, it doesn't work.

I don't know maybe its a thing for white flags...

Hi All,

Any possibility to resurrect the UK WHI community Guys? Why is it so popular in US, and Australia but not here? Why the game organizing has struggled in Northampton in this year?

Cheers,

New player from London

I'm planning on talking to the owner of Mondo Comico in Nottingham, to see if it's possible to run events there. He's got a few local casual players but no tournament scene of any kind. There's no objection in principle, and he's got loads of gaming space.

What I'd need to know is whether or not there's any interest from elsewhere, would anybody be willing to travel a few miles for a tourney? After all if it's just me and 2-3 guys from Nottingham then it's not going to be a huge success.
