Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone had taken the time to put together a phase breakdown that walks through the steps of the game when using expansions and all the bells and whistles they bring with them. I tend to play with the whole kit and kaboodle, all the expansions and extras, and I find that I often find myself forgetting a step here and there. Perhaps I forget a guardian marker, or to place a Kingsport token, etc. The bulk of my forgetfulness is in the Mythos phase, I suppose, since there is so much to remember to do there when you use everything.

Since the rules and protocols are spread out among the rulebooks, it can make keeping things organized difficult. So, if anyone has combined the order of things into one document or reference sheet I'd very much like a copy of it. If there is not such a reference floating around the players here, I'll take it upon myself to make one (probably in early January when I get some free time) and make it available.

Thanks

While I like what Peter (UniversalHead) publishes, I feel that sheet is just a summary of rules and doesn't offer much more in this case.

I highly recommend Mr. Skeletor's Flow charts.  This is what I used to teach myself the game and get it squared away in my head.  It only took 2 or 3 games of me following this flow chart until I had the rules 99.44% down pat.

There are two versions.  One is just the basic game and I recommend that if you are really just learning the basic game; there is too much out there to confuse you if you grab the other one.  The second one has all the expansion included in it (with the exception of BGotW).

TBH, I've never used cheat sheets or flowcharts for any game. I always just dive in at the deep end, gotta learn to swim sometimes.

This is a true statement.  However, you can learn to swim sooner if you have those arm floaties.

I did such a reference sheet, available at BBG forum. It is available for the basic games or basic + expansions, in PDF. Moreover, for Lyx users, you can recreate the PDF with "mix and match", i.e. any expansion combination. However, I need to provide a new version for BGotW.

Available at: http://www.boardgame...file/info/28048

I tried to be as accurate as possible, taking into account FAQ and also rules answers given by Kevin Wilson himself. Hope this helps. And there are other reference sheets too.

Try the Arkham Sheet here

www.headlesshollow.com/freebies_games.html

Not all the expansions are included but some of the add ons for the board really do simplify the limits.

this looks helpful, too.

I've learned most of the rules, however it's still too early to play without the booklet and the constant page searching is annoying.

I'll print this and flowchart, and go fetch me some gate trophies in less time :)

With all due respect to Universal Head (he makes some great sheets) but I just never found the Arkham one helpful.  Too much text even after it was boiled down.  The flowchart is simple, includes everything you need to know, and allows you to just progress step-by-step.  But to each their own!

True, but the board overlays really helps in early games.

Not only do you learn to swim with the arm floaties, you are also less likely to drown and you can drown in AH if you aren't careful.

Actually, it seems that both files are broken. Can these files be recovered, reposted, or new links be found?

Thanks for all your work putting this sheet together.  I was looking for something like this to help me keep all the expansion rules straight.

My game should be here tomorrow, what is the BEST flowchart for a new player? I am assuming these would help a lot! Also is there one that includes Innsmouth, Kingsport, and Dunwhich? Thanks!
