I think it's a Flash video. Try downloading the latest Flash software.

It's a QuickTime video - but you can view the trailer on YouTube at the following link:

Enjoy!

Glad you enjoyed the trailer Paul! Very sorry that you're having technical difficulties with QuickTime.

Are you unable to view any of the current videos now? And if so, what version of QuickTime are you currently running? Thanks for your feedback!

I had to save the file first before it would open.  I can't view it directly fromt he website.  I am sure it is Vista's fault.

Hi Keith, I am running the latest version of 'everything'. I saved the Trailer as ColtsFan suggested and now I can view it. I'm using XP. Odd because I have not changed anything from when the 'old site' was up! It looks a heck of a lot better than You Tube.

Cheers,Paul.

I'm confused, what do you really do in this game. I understand the solving crimes part, but I'm confused about the rest.

Someone is murdered but it is less about solving the murder in the sense of Clue or Mystery of the Abbey.

Players race to collect evidence for or against suspects.  They each start with a hunch of who is guilty and who is innocent so they work to either incvriminate or exonerate those two.  In addition to trying to ID the suspect, you can also try to uncover the conspiracy of those behind the murder.

In the meantime, there are events in the game you need to react to while also dealing with your own personal issues.  There are also ways to mess with other players as you play interrupt cards against them, put hits out on their suspects, and jockey to get a jump on the case.

How you handle all of these elements will either give you positive or negative Victory Points.  Whoever has the most points after a 2-week period (12 days), wins.

So, there are only 12 "rounds"?

2x7= 14 rounds, as per the 7-days-nominal Earth Standard Week you and me both (should) adhere to. :P

edit: I just saw that Colt's Fans apparently can't count, either. ;)

Perhaps you and I adhere to a 7-days-nominal Earth Standard Week but Android does not.  There are only 12 rounds according to the graphics of the board in the rulebook.  Maybe they need to cling to the Sabath to keep their sanity?

Perhaps Mike should learn to read before criticizing other people's math skills.

Is that 12 rounds counting the final 2 days of wrap up? (forgot what it is technically called)

Correct. Here's how the entire two weeks runs, as far as end-of-day phases go (from p44 of the ruies, lower left corner):

WEEK 1

Day 1: Nothing happens.

Day 2: General Event.

Day 3: (All but Raymond): First card of First Plot is resolved.

Day 4: General Event.

Day 5: General Event.

Day 6: (All but Raymond): Second card of First Plot is resolved. End of First Plot.
(Raymond): Resolve First Card of Single Plot.

WEEK 2

Day 7: Murder-Specific Event.

Day 8: General Event.

Day 9: (All but Raymond): First card of Second Plot is resolved.

Day 10: General Event

CLIMAX: After day 10, Leads do not respawn (get moved) after they are followed. They are removed from the game.

Day 11: General Event

Day 12: (All but Raymond): Second card of Second Plot is resolved. End of Second Plot.
(Raymond): Resolve Second Card of Single Plot. End of Single Plot.

Just a note: Nothing's been revealed specifically about how Raymond's plot resolution differs from the others except that he only has one and it takes two weeks to finish, but if Raymond's Plot card count (8) and the number of plots he can choose from (2) is any indication, then each of his plots is also 4 cards, like the others:

Start Card

"Crossroads" Card (halfway point, with good side and bad side)

Final Card A (two sides, one for if you took the Good/Good path, the other for the Good/Bad path)

Final Card B (two sides, one for if you took the Bad/Good path, the other for the Bad/Bad path)

Then i did my job!

All kidding aside, that is why I said a two week period and put 12 rounds in parenthesis.  If it had been a standard week, there would have been no need to call attention to the fact it is actually truncated.
