Boba and Krassis

Hey all just had a game at the club tonight with a Boba and Krassis list I'd found since I repainted my two Firesprays over the last few days and felt compelled to use them immediately [I'll post photos in a couple days when my photobucket resets]. This was the list:

Krassis Trelix — Firespray-31 36
Ion Cannon 3
Gunner 5
Homing Missiles 5

Boba Fett — Firespray-31 39
Marksmanship 3
Heavy Laser Cannon 7
Seismic Charges 2

I pulled off a win ( have to admit HLC and Marksman combine well) but kept wishing they had engine upgrades all game so came up with this:

Krassis Trelix — Firespray-31 36
Heavy Laser Cannon 7
Recon Specialist 3
Engine Upgrade 4

Boba Fett — Firespray-31 39
Expert Handling 2
Seismic Charges 2
Navigator 3
Engine Upgrade 4
Slave I

What do people think or have better suggestions?

OK,

 

I would change the Recon Spec on Krassis for a Rebel Captive or the Recon Spec and Seismic for a Gunner as Engine Upgrade will stop you using the Recon Spec whenever you use it. Gunner will help when you use the Engine Upgrade as you will be shooting with no modifier action.

 

I also would change the Seismic and Navigator on Fett to a Gunner. Hyper mobile Fett seems great, but he has problems outputting damage. Being able to Barrel Roll or Boost and then have Gunner as a shooting back up is, IMHO a better option.

I for one like the navigator and charges. Everyone uses gunners. This has more flare (and I love bombs. just having them can discourage ships from taking maneuvers that would be otherwise advantageous to them).

 

Also, I love that you took the Slave 1 title without taking the torpedo. Way to be authentic. ;)

Englishpete you may have a point about gunner over the other upgrades. The engine upgrade was more to get the ships back into the fight quicker I think I'd slow and focus down when I'm in shooting position, I had so many turns of just swinging the ships around as I went around the edges of the map since I was trying for extra rear shots I was running out of room to k-turn to get right back in so boosts would have helped a lot.

 

Any other suggestions from double Firespray players? Seems all the lists I accumulated were a wave back so the meta has to have shifted a bit. I know Recon Specialists are a popular choice on the generic Bounty Hunter pilots.
