I wonder if the delay was caused by changes to the Imperial Guard in the upcoming 'Astra Militarium' Codex, which had to be incorporated...?

Speaking of the revised Imperial Guard Astra Militarium, am I the only one who thinks the new 'Taurox' transport models look completely absurd?

I wondered the same and I sincerely hope so, for this supplement it would not be that difficult, just add Bullgryns and some fluff blurbs along the ways "it was Astra Militarium all along" (or as I like to put it "Astra Militarium without, Imperial Guard within")

On the matter of Taurox I disagree with the statement it is completely silly. There are some poor design choices, for example why couldnt it be  a wheeled vehicle or halftrack, the "doubletrack" is rather weird. It has also too high profile for my liking, often emphasized by the add-don turret (the non stormie one without the turret in cadian colours looks much better). But the concept is sound, we have yet to see artwork of Taurox which could do it in-universe justice and nobody is forcing the GMs to describe it in much cooler way. Difference between the models and storytelling of orks comes to mind.

There is nothing as good as seeing rebel scum running out of a cave full of gas, right into the blasters of your battalion-–well, except sunrises, but for those you have to get up early.

Heads up for one simple improvement of Taurox (and apologies for getting off-topic)

I like the look of that vehicle. I also love that it uses twin autocannons (my favorite heavy weapon for the IG).

Nice! If I end up buying one, I'll definitely make that conversion- or possibly just swap out the front treads with wheels and leave the back ones as treads to create a half-track.

For some reason, I expect that each of those conversions will be more popular than the "original" model. Yech!

Though it might be difficult to relate it to the RPG, I do like the look of the upcoming Wyvern, and the Hydra still looks neat. Quad heavy mortar seems cheesy.

Have Shield of Humanity on ore-order at Amazon, got a mail today saying expected date is now between 10th and 20th May.

Wish they would hurry up and release it, I might actually have some XP to spend by then!

Amazon's never been good with dates for these sorts of things.

Yes status updated to on the way to stores. I preordered a copy, so hopefully it will get here to Canada quicker than if I waited for a store to order it. So it should be in most US stores next week. Then it ships immediately on friday at the latest, so it will be here in about two weeks. So 23rd ish is what I'm estimating for delivery at the absolute latest.

If as it says it is being printed in Minnesota, I have an even longer wait for it to make it across the pond to the UK...

But hey, at least it is one step closer :)

Several new weapons, including a Ratling sniper rifle, an Ogryn autocannon, integrated weapons (for the Crimson Guard) and some Ecclesiarchy flame and chain (chainaxe) stuff. New vehicles too.

Nothing in this book that reflects the 'new' Ogryn of the Astra Militarum. These are still old-school Ogryn that fear the dark.

Super-Heavy Armoured Regiment?! Like, we start with a Baneblade and work up from there?! That's got to be fun! :D

And how does the Snipers doctrine differ from sharpshooters, if I may ask? (My copy is ordered, but being in Europe, it takes a while...)
