Lore boundaries are always kind of flexible, and it is especially so in the case of the Deathwatch, where specialist positions cannot always be filled with perfect candidates. If a player decides to roleplay being an apprentice (or just a trusted ally) to a Chaplain, Forge Master or Librarian, and he does it well, finishing a few tough mission at the NPC's behest, I might consider giving access to normally unobtainable Lore skills.

Chapter Secrets are not necessarily the domain of the Reclusiam. Logically, it could just as well be be guarded by the Librarium, but ultimately it rather depends on the nature of the secret.

With most chapters when a new recruit is examined a chaplain will look for spiritual and physical coruption while a librarian scans his mind for mental coruption, deceit and latent psychic ability.

The space wolves have a combination of apothecary/chaplain so it shouldn't be to odd to see a librarian chaplain. The danger with that is of course that psykers have a higher risk of demonic possession and if that guy is also in charge of what the chapter views as right and wrong...

How about grey knights? Each and every grey knight is a psyker (similar enough to librarian) but do they have chaplains?

By their codex, no. In fluff, I don't believe so, but I can't claim to be a super-expert, even on my favorite Chapter. As every Grey Knight is at risk of falling, and no Grey Knight ever has, there certainly is a mechanic inside their Chapter to weed out corruption, but exactly who does it, and how they ALWAYS stay ahead of it, where many other Chapters can't, I don't know.

Maybe each battle brother is constantly checking his fellows for signs of doubt and corruption.

I had a look in the codex myself: Grey knight techmarine: awww yeah! psychic powers, artificer armor and weapons galore!

How about this wacky little idea:

You start as a Chaplain, and during an "incident" against chaos forces you suffer from a Rage anurism, witch causes you to activate your latent psychic talent.

I can't believe so few people know that Librarian Chaplains already exist. At least, Im pretty sure there are. Man, the White Scars really Are the forgotten sons of the Emperor. The Chapter uses Stormseers, their Librarians, to do many of the things other chapters use chaplains for. Recruiting aspirants, teaching their philosophies, offering counsel and guidance. And all in a Chapter of the First Founding. Boo yah.

That makes sense, Jaghatai Khan was pretty open to psykers at Nikaea.

If you're willing to take the novel as canon (cause I can't recall any other depictions of them), the Silver Skulls have a Librarian-Chaplain hybrid who are all about predicting the future to best guide their officers, and have a lot of power within the Chapter as a result.
