Yeah that was what kept me from getting into Netrunner as well. I wen't "wow this looks really good and it is so highly rated. What I have to build two decks?!?......I'm out!"

I would concede that point. I don't think the original poster was intending for asymmetric play. I am just the type to work on one deck at a time and pour all my energy into making that deck the best I can. Bringing two decks to me would just detract from the attention and playtesting I can give each deck, and honestly hope they don't go that route.
That said I would agree that it would be an interesting alternate format to try out to spice it up from time to time.

I suppose it would cut out mirror matches.
I tend to play a deck I enjoy playing rather than a few designs so I would dislike playing another deck. Focusing on tweaking here and there and identifying weaknesses.
