I am just curious what monster choices people went with for the second encounter of the masquerade ball and positioning choices. I stacked my spiders up against the door. That way it forced the heroes to be methodical in killing the spiders (i.e. slow them down). They really hate taking that fatigue when moving.

Next I put Barghests in the next room. Since they opened the door by smashing it I positioned two minions against the next door, blocking there path. I positioned the other master and minion against the entrance forcing a fight. I went with the Barghests cause I figured I could slow them down and start mass fatiguing them down with some howls. It didn't take to long for the heroes to dispose of them but they did take a few howls and attacks along the way.

For the final trigger room I went with two shadow dragons. I know it was the cheap choice but I had the riddle and I didn't want to lose. I knew that with two dragons they would of had to chop through one just to even reach that door.

At the end of the day my plan seemed to work, but in an effort to get beyond just shadow dragons what were the choices and outcomes from other battles? Would love to hear some.

Last group doesn't really matter IMO, turn 1 if the heroes don't Stun (or ideally Immobilize) Eliza, they've lost, period.

Not if you don't have the riddle with Eliza and fail 5 times to open the first door...

I had spiders then dragons. I had the riddle, so Eliza ran... It was over in three turns. They never even got to touch the dragons. My heroes might really hurt me if I have try that one again x.x But, I know it's possible for them to win! it's... just... hard... *is a bad OL*

I used Kobolds to slow down the heroes in the room where Lady Eliza started. She had not the riddle, but the Kobolds did perform well enough to block the heroes until Eliza left the map.

As second monster group, I chose Ogres but the heroes never saw them – Eliza escaped before the heroes managed to get to the Ogres.

I am going to use Barghests in the Cave and Shadow Dragons in the Hallway - I have the riddle for the doors and 2 Dash Cards - I also have a stacked Overlord deck from Part 1, I only used 1 card in that encounter.

I have 2 Web Traps as well, that is going to make them mad. I hope they fail, fail, fail....
