Hey Westerosi!

As you all probably are aware, there is no AGOT League at Burwood tonight, however feel free to hang out and play some casual games, the board game, hang out with Danny and Winston and play a bunch of other gear. Next week, August 6th, we're starting a funky new league called "The Deckbuilders League" You rock up with a deck, as you normally would, however, at the start of the night you will randomly swap your deck with someone else for the night! You get points for every game you win, AND every game your deck wins! If you are a noobie, this is a great way to play the game on even terms, and if your a veteran, making a deck that anyone can play well will be just half the challenge, playing with a different deck will be the other half! The league will go for 6 weeks, players... will drop their worst weeks score, and you will get a bonus point each week you bring a deck with a different house card. This will be awesome fun!

The league will be just $7 each week to play, on the night and overall prizes up for grabs, this leagues over all lucky door prize is a copy of the very awesome board game Planet Steam! To be in the chance to win this, all you need to do is play!

This will be a fine league, cruise on in next Tuesday and have a go. If you need to borrow a deck to put into the pool, someone will lend you one (and you will get points for that deck!)

See ya next week!

Hey Westerosi,

Last nights deck builders league kicked off last night, and it was FUN! Lots of cool things happened, and in the end Greg Capel and Nathan van Ravesteyn finished equal first after their results and their decks results were calculated. Well done guys! Round 1 standings below

Greg 10 20 1                31
Nathan R 15 15 1                31
Nathan M 15 10 1                26
Mikey 7 15 1                23
Colin 15 2 1                18
Jay 7 10 1                18
Kieren 10 5 1                16
Josh 5 7 1                13
Aaron 5 5 1                11

Apologies to Nathan M, he had a great deck and should be placed higher. Unfortunately the gods punished him by given his deck to me.

It was fun. Everyone had a great time. If you play A Game of Thrones, come and try this format. If you don't play Game of Thrones, this is your chance, its a great way to learn the game and experience a great variety of decks. We play each Tuesday at 6.30pm, its just $7 to play, and it is a fine night

See ya next Tuesday

Hey Westerosi!

Last night another fantastically fun evening of Game of Thrones took place, with oodles of funny things happening after deck swaps. Its really a fun way to play. AFter 4 rounds of coolness, Nathan R playing Colins Targaryen Deck trumped everyone, going 4-0 to take the night. Aaron, playing Nathan Rs Lannisters, and Rob playing Gregs Targaryens, finished equal second, with Nathan M and Colin finishing equal third. Standings below

Nathan R 15 15 1 19 15 1             66
Greg 10 20 1 10 15 1             57
Colin 15 2 1 11 19 1             49
Nathan M 15 10 1 11 10 1             48
Jay 7 10 1 5 11 1             35
Aaron 5 5 1 15 6 1             33
Rob    15 11 1             27
Mikey 7 15 1                23
Kieren 10 5 1 0 5 1             22
James    6 8 1             15
Josh 5 7 1                13
Glenn    8 0 1             9

A Game of Thrones is awesome, and the deck builders league is a fun way to play. We taught 2 new players how to play last night and they both loved it, its easy and fun. The game is great, the people who play it are warm and friendly, come along on a Tuesday night and have a crack

Cheers

Hey Westerosi!

On Tuesday night a fine group of treacherous house principle assembled themselves in an orderly fashion to fight for the Iron Throne. And after 4 rounds of nastiness, Mikey sat on the hot seat, continuing his hot top 8 Nationals form. National melee champ Nathan R came in 2nd, and perennial clansman Glenn M finished a solid third. Standings below

Nathan R 15 15 1 19 15 1 15 10 1 14 13 119
Greg 10 20 1 10 15 1 15 15 1 10 14 112
Nathan M 15 10 1 11 10 1 14 20 1 83
Colin 15 2 1 11 19 1 20 10 1 80
Jay 7 10 1 5 11 1 10 15 60
Aaron 5 5 1 15 6 1 6 4 1 0 10 1 55
James 6 8 1 0 10 1 5 17 48
Mikey 7 15 1 17 5 1 46
Glenn 8 0 1 11 5 13 0 1 39
Rob 15 11 1 5 6 38
Kieren 10 5 1 0 5 1 10 0 1 33
Nick 10 14 1 25
Ben 4 11 15
Josh 5 7 1 13

Game of Thrones is a fine game played by very cool people. It plays equally as well multiplayer as it does 1 v 1, is fantastically themed, and easy to get into. We play each Tuesday night at 6.30pm, if you'd like to have a try cruise on in any Tuesday evening and not only will a friendly Throner show you how to play, they will lend you a deck to use for the night!

See you next Tuesday!
