Sorry about that. I'm working on a few tweeks to the character sheet. I'm hoping to be able to post an updated version shortly.

Homemade character sheet (v4) (One side for social interaction and one side for physical conflict - Work in progress)

Here we go. (A first attemps at posting this failed. Hopefuly this will not end up as a double post)

I finally had time to organize my notes about my "Powered by EotE" Crimson Skies setting. (This is still a work in progress)

You'll find a few links below. Some of those links will eventually stop working as I update the documents. Keep an eye on my signature for the most recent versions.

Please note that English is not my first langauge so I'm pretty sure a bunch of typos and grammatical errors found their way into the documents. Feel free to message me corrections and suggestions.

Things I intend to work on next:

  • Fluff part of the character sheet
  • More Aircraft Profiles
  • Zeppelins
  • Bombs
  • More Slugthrower Weapons
  • Proper Credits

Actually, I am starting to think I will make my second campaign run here in town in the Mass Effect Universe (my main Star Wars one is with friends in different states).

The main problem I see is working in Biotics. So I am planning to do a "Edge of Citadel Space" thing… Terminis System, Omega Staion, etc. This will allow me to add things to that campaign same way. Millitary in second book, and more Biotics in 3rd. I think the way the force works now in EotE will work pretty solid for Biotics. Most of the classes could pretty much be used "As is", just custom races.

There was talk between some friends and I about writing and publishing our own RPG.  The initial idea from one frined was a fantasy setting, but where he wanted to go felt too generic to me.  A fantasy RPG is a hard sell for me, and I think it's an even harder sell at retail unless you're doing something very different.

So I did some work on my own on a fantasy setting that would make me pull it down from a shelf and I ended with something very narrative-driven.  Something very much like White Wolf's Orhpeus in that it's a stand-alone RPG, but it tells a complete story across all its suppliments.

I think it I ever moved forward I'd look into licensing the EotE mechanic for it.

Rebel: 4 X-Wings, 1 GR-75 Transport, 2 Y-Wings, 1 A-Wing, 1 B-Wing, 1 YT-1300, 1 Corellian CR90

I started working on a version of Warhammer FRPG based on EotE. It takes a lot of effort :(

The Dark Side - Witches, Warlocks, Dark Magic and more

Secrets of the Anvil - Advanced Dwarf careers and runes

Here is my first attempt at some of the Mass Effect Races. I based several of them on existing races: Asari/Twi'lik, Salarian/Bothan, Turian/Rodian, Krogan/Wookiee & Trandoshan. Curious on thoughts.

ASARI -----

10+Brawn, 11+Willpower - 100xp

BRA 1 - PRE 3 - INT 2 - CUN 2 - AGI 2 - WIL 2

Free Rank in Negotiations, Plausable Denyability Talent

SALARIAN -----

10+ Brawn, 11+Willpower, 100xp

BRA 1 - PRE 2 -  INT 2 - CUN 3 - AGI 2 - WIL 2

Free Rank in Skulduggery, Rapid Reaction Talent

TURIANS -----

10+Brawn, 10+Willpower - 100xp

BRA 2 - PRE 2 - INT 2 - CUN 2 - AGI 3 - WIL 1

Free Rank in Survival, Expert Tracker Talent

KROGAN -----

12+Brawn, 9+Willpower - 90xp

BRA 3 - PRE 2 - INT 1 - CUN 2 - AGI 2 - WIL 2

Free Rank in Resiliance, Battle Rage (same as Wookiee)

QUARIAN -----

10+Brawn, 10+Willpower - 100xsp

BRA 2 - PRE 1 - INT 3 - CUN 2 - AGI 2 - WIL 2

Free Rank in Mechanics, Utinni Talent

BATARIAN -----

10+Brawn, 10+Willpower - 100xp

BRA 2 - PRE 1 - INT 2 - CUN 3 - AGI 2 - WIL 2

Free Rank in Perception, Convincing Demenor Talent.

My WFRP3 adaption of 40K Roleplay has languished for a bit at www.kriegshammer.com, but EotE looks like it will make for an easier adaptation, so I'll start working on it again soon.

A wookie and a krogan walk into a bar.

Everyone else walks out.

For some reason that popped into my head.

I am planning a Stargate conversion, though I think that Age of Rebellion might well work better expecially with the Duty mechanic.

Don't be silly.  If a wookie and a krogan walk into a bar, nobody else is walking out.  Heck, they'll be lucky to ever walk again!

I'll be looking at hacking SW:EotE to run a Blake's 7 game.

It's a surprisingly good fit with most of the well known character's perfectly fitting a EotE specialisation. It's also got the right gritty feel.

The big issues look to be the Auronar and telepathy. I could potentially rip out the force rules and start from scratch, but I suspect I'd be better working out how to modify the existing force rules.

Another big issue is space ships and space combat. Blake's 7 space combat is all about energy - about conservation or using it now for temporary gain, even though it will leave you in big trouble later.

Once I've pulled a few notes together I'll probably start a thread. Might be a few weeks though.

Now that is something I would love to see, I have the old Blakes 7 fan club rpg so would be willing to help out if you want. Though I am also doing a Stargate conversion atm.

I have been noodling using the dice for a superhero game system. So far, I have managed to keep it at arms' length, because it seems like the sort of thing that could turn into a monstrous time suck, but if people were interested in this, I could collate these various thoughts and make them publicly available.

I might take you up on that...

I'm on holiday from Saturday for 10 days (heading to Tunisia, will be visiting the Hôtel Sidi Driss in Matmata as well as spending a lot of time at the beach)

I'm taking my iPad and my rule book with me. I'm going to see how much I can do on the hack whilst away. When I get back I'll a) post an update with my progress, b) I'll run my ideas past people on here and c) If I have enough done I'll start testing things with my regular Wednesday gaming group..

I was hoping to find a Farscape conversion. If I find the time, I might throw something together. If I find the time...

I'm really wanting to write up an Avatar:Last Airbender/Legend of Korra conversion! I think the system could lend itself REEALLY well.

The irony is I've been trying to kit-bash the World of Darkness to Star Wars, and I'm thinking I might have to switch it around and go the other way now…

That's a really good idea. I loved the original WOD rules, given that one roll determined success and degree of it, and shifting the DC and/or the dice pool enabled me as Storyteller to shape outcomes creatively. I think the SW dice takes this idea somewhere entirely new and better. I have to admit that, after playing Pathfinder almost exclusively for the last few years, my first thought after playing SW once was "how can I convert all my PF stuff?" Anyway, I could see the narrative aspect of the mechanics having a major positive impact on WOD's social interactions.
