So, we're starting a campaign this week.

I'm the Overlord. Two of the three other players have played a few games years ago. I actually have only played two or three times myself. I'm wondering if they ever win a game, how to help them decide which scenario to select for the next session.

I don't really see them wanting to pore over (pour? I've no idea) the scenario book during the game trying to decide. Nor do I see them thinking to look at it between games. My bet is they really will want to just show up and play. So, how do you get new(-ish) players to make informed decisions on scenario selection?

At the moment the best idea I really have is to let them look at the reward cards and see what they're interested in trying to get.

Any better ideas?

Reward is exactly how we did it the first time through when we had never played the quests. As simple as it is, if you don't want to dig into the quest book, which honestly favors the owner of the game anyway since he can do it outside game session time and use it to his advantage, then going by reward is a pretty good way to go.

Taunt them with treasure. Have you ever played Boss Monster? ;)
