Is there an official list of the ships that will be included in Age of Rebellion's Core Rule Book? I know that the Beta version list is available, but I am wondering if the final version will have additional ships.

If anyone can answer, I would appreciate it!

To my knowledge, no such list exists yet, but a full list should be available by Wednesday or Thursday.

Yeah there is a long, long list of Legends ships I hope get converted to the FFG system. It will be interesting to see if any make it into the AOR Core book.

The Vigil is interesting, I imagine sooner or later my group will get on hands on one of those in some campaign, I'm very surprised that neither model of Alliance Assault Frigate made it in since the Dreadnaught did. I'm also disappointed that neither the Strike class nor the Carrack class Cruisers made it in. And while I was hoping for the Neb-B2, MC30C, MC40A, and Victory-II Star Destroyers to appear here I'm not shocked that they didn't. I just hope thy do appear in later books. I'm surprised there are so few rebel capships though. Of the 14 models listed for Gunships, Cruisers, and Battleships only half of them appear to be classes likely to see widespread Alliance use IMO, and a few of those are iffy or would be used by both sides..

As a note, the Victory in the book is identified as a Victory II. However, it is very slow (Speed 1) and mounts the Concussion Missile Launchers traditionally associated with the Victory I.

I'm also hoping to see an expansion of capital ships in future supplements. Specifically, I'd like to see Imperial II Star Destroyers and MC90 Star Cruisers. I was disappointed by the lack of a few ships, like the Carrack Cruiser, and I was surprised by the absence of the GR75 Medium Transport, given its prominence in some of the art. I also would have preferred to have been given stats for the Alpha-Class Xg-1 Star Wing (Assault Gunboat) instead of the version of the TIE Defender that was presented in the book.

That said, I understand the limited amount of page space available, and I'm pretty excited for a lot of the ships that were included to see actual play.

So in the AoR Core Rulebook we see the YV-929 Armed Transport, which is almost the same as the YV-929 Light Freighter from Dangerous Covenants. The sole exception seems to be that the Armed Transport has Sensor Range: Medium while the Light freighter has Sensor Range: Short. Both cost the same and have no other differences. Intentional change or error?

Interesting. The beta had it at Medium as well. I'm more interested why they changed the classification.

Yeah I'm excited to see them as well, and I'm pretty sure an Imp-II is coming, and hopefully the ship which the stats indicate is a Vic-I but is named a Vic-II are a sign that they plan to include the Vic-II in a later book and someone got which one was in this book mixed up rather than a typo

I'm surprised there wasn't a GR-75 but given that it already appear in EOE, and that there's IMO a good chance of it appearing in Assault on Arda I based on what we know of that adventure's events, and they probably saw no need to print the stats again. Also they were likely running short on space.

As for the MC90 I wouldn't expect to see it in an AOR Product. Unless they change the BG it didn't appear until five or six years after the Battle of Endor. Maybe it will show up in the sequel trilogy, and an ST sourcebook though.

Whoops! You're right. I mixed up the MC90 Defiance from Dark Empire with the MC80 Defiance from X-Wing Alliance. The type of craft I hope to see in Age of Rebellion is a Home One type MC80, (not an MC90) not to be confused with the Liberty type MC80 that was presented in the book. My mistake. Thanks for catching it!

Yeah there really aren't that many Mon Calamari capital ship models established in this era other than MC80 variants. The only ones I can think of that I know of which are active in this period are the MC30Cs, MC40As and the array of MC80 variants, though WEG implied there was a Mon Cal Corvette I would love to see. There was what appeared to be a ShaShore variant on the cover of one recent Rebellion era comic book but IMO its likely that the ShaShores are a successor type to the MC30Cs, an MC30D or MC30E, or a new type linked to the MC30C like the MC90s and MC80s are given the ShaShore's weaponry, and what we know of the MC30C's weapon systems. (Both are Mon Calamari designed frigate classes which use Proton Torpedoes as their heavy weapons backed up by Turbolasers, and Lasers.)

And I would be shocked if Home One didn't show up sooner or later.

I don't know I can think of tons of capital ships I would put in the pilot book before Home One. Escort Carriers, the various models of Bulk Cruiser carrier conversions the Alliance used, possibly a CR90 carrier conversion, maybe even the Venator or Secutor class Star Destroyers but I'm certain that Home One will show up sooner or later.

I would think that capitol ships are more likely in the Commander book (where Commodore is found) than in the Ace book (where Pilot is found).

True but based on what we've seen so far there have been mixes of non-capships and capships  in all of the EOE career books, and IMO if they stick to that trend in AOR carriers are more likely to be in the Pilot book than any other type.of capship.

I don't suppose that gozanti has the imperial refit option.

Not specifically, no. What it says is:

Some have even been converted to carry one or two starfighters in modified cargo bays, more as a piracy deterrent than as offensive weapons, but effective nonetheless. More than one Imperial Customs patrol has been surprised by a Gozanti-class transport, a fact that has gained the alliance the use of more than one of the Empire's vessels.

I can't believe I missed this at first but am I the only one who noticed that the non-Starfighter ships in the book are classified using the abbreviated form of the Anaxes classification system from the Essential Guide to Warfare?
