Well, the Tantive crew spoiler settles it. This will be my go-to list for the foreseeable future:

44 Lando Calrissian

2 Han Solo

23 "Dutch" Vander

5 Ion Cannon Turret

1 R2 Astromech

23 Tarn Mison

2 R7 Astromech

---

This is all assuming the Han spoil isn't a complete fake, of course.

Pretty neat list. I wonder about ditching the R2 for Nien Num though. Thoughts?

I've gone through several iterations of the Dutch + Lando combo. I previously used Lando with Gunner and Nien, and a plain Rookie Pilot in place of Tarn. There was always something about that lone generic that bothered me, not the least of which was having to play very conservatively so as not to be vaporized on the first turn of combat. At varying times I tried pulling either Nien or the R2 to upgrade the Rookie to a Blue Squadron Pilot, and found out quickly that R2 is too valuable to be replaced. Incidentally, the Blue didn't perform any better than the Rookie did. In fact, it tended to draw a lot more threat early on. Nien, on the other hand, I discovered that I can do without, especially since I tend to plod along with short maneuvers anyways.

I have to wonder what kind of opponents let you 'plod' away in a falcon....I find short manoeuvres on the yt is a death sentence...

BTW, what exactly does Han as a crew member do?

People don't tend to focus the YT when they see Dutch (1 agility) and a generic X-Wing within range. Lando is, after all, not quite the endgame threat that Han or Chewie are. Keeping Dutch and Lando within range 1 of each other also tends to be difficult at higher speeds, especially when you factor in enemy ships and asteroid placement. And, as I alluded to before, I often have to play conservatively to prevent my Rookie from getting focused down too early.

I will fit Han crew onto Chewie pilot with Dutch. Dutch moves into the stinkzone of Chewie's exhaust trail and they both pelt lateral shots into things.

You don't need to strip your miniatures, painting over is fine. No, there should not be a fourth faction, three is the magic number for countering flavor lists and to break up faction distribution. Someone else has likely thought up and posted your amazing new build, so you don't need to stroke your ego when reposting it. The prequels sucked and so would a game based on it. YES, there should be a Custom Forum for terrain and repaints! Moving on...

I usually fly Dutch out in front, so that way I can bump if I absolutely have to. As long as Lando's maneuver is green, he's still going to get a TL.

It certainly seems that way, but stranger things have happened. We'll know for sure within the week.

It seems like you colonials need a lesson in spelling: it's manoeuvre.

What about:

Lando:
Han

Garven

Dutch
Blaster ( or ion)

99 or 100 Pts ( depending if you took ion or not). And the all work together. Lando gives Garven a free action so he focuses and TL, Garven gives his focus to Dutch and Dutch gives a TL to Lando. One gets killed? Np, any two still as are symbiotic as three.

Tarn's ability is sick it just means everybody will focus on Dutch till he's dead. This makes the opponent choose one of three equally beneficial pilots, plus you can play this list now (save Han) to play-test if you want to practice.

All lists with Dutch are great, some are just greater than others.

*may* not can ;).

First time I met my wife (in a bar at a research conference)

Me: 'Can we play some darts with you?'
Her: 'I don't know, can you?'

Turns out, love of my life.

I once spent an entire deployment babysitting an arms room and throwing darts by myself. Not quite as good a story as yours, but still. Memories.

So, you're saying you knowingly married a grammar nazi? Why would you do that? ;)
