So the idea for this squad came from the picture on the RGP card: 3 squints and a shuttle.  My initial list is as follows:

- RGP + PtL x3

- OGP + Vader + Intelligence agent

The IA crew is really there just to make it 100 pts, because I like to lose initiative and have better maneuverability in my TIEs.

My only trouble is that I feel like I don't know how to fly the doomshuttle well in this squad.  Do I take it in early, as my squints zoom to their flanks, or use lots of 0 and 1 maneuvers to save it for after shield losses?

Any thoughts?

I'd go with the 2nd option but don't leave it too late as you don't want the shuttle to be the last man standing!

You would probably get more mileage out of Captain Yorr, considering you are running three PtL interceptors.

Just a thought :-)

I played a similar list on Friday.  With one miscalulated/distracted dial choice of a 2 rather than a 1, my shuttle ended up just in Arc of all his fighters while my Interceptors sat just outside of range ready to zoom in next turn and slap some Rebel face.  The Shuttle took a serious wooping from my opponents Alpha Strike while the Interecptors could only shake their fists in frustration.  It went down on the next turn.

I spent the rest of the game limping around trying to climb the hill I had made for myself.  I managed to kill off the rest of his ships save Garvin with R2-D2.  [muttering] Stupid little Astromech with your stupid regenerating shields

This has become a list I play a lot, but with just two interceptors tooled up a bit better and/or maybe a tie fighter.
My new list that just won a tournament (no-one was more surprised than me, It was just supposed to be fun list showing off interceptors!) is a lot of fun, I call it 'priority prisoner transport' it was a shuttle with rebel captive, anti pursuit lasers and ion cannon this was flanked by jax and Fel both with title, ptl, shield and tc. Simple plan really shuttle ions somebody for the ceptors whilst trying to get ships to overlap him for fee hits.

Shuttle would have just one point for an upgrade then.

I prefer Engine Upgrades on my Shuttles. If I can't afford that, it's Vader and no other upgrades, or a different ship.

Get your shots in early with the shuttle and then use Vader to help your Interceptors finish the job.

I've always wanted to try this:

2x Saber Squadron Pilot w/ Push the limit
Omicron w/ Fire Control System and Gunner
Omicron w/ Vader

Just a minor variation: I'd add the Royal Guard Title to all the Squints- even though you're not doing anything with them. They're zero points, and add just a bit more fun flair. :)
