You could always ask Tim if he wants to do some supplemental stuff in a web-release PDF - optional expansion rules for Black Crusades and the like.

The PDF is out, and I totally wanna get it. But the tome of fate PDF was so horribly slow for me I ended up buying the actual book anyway. Anybody know if this one is okay or not? Not meaning content, I mean does it take 20 seconds to flip a page or not?

To be honest, I only bought it for the Daemon Engine rules, and the rules to run your own black crusade. but the content is pretty good in my opinion, lots of nurgly fluff if you like that sorta thing, the advanced specialties are....its a BC supplement, so there. The equipment is decent, I haven't gotten to use much of the content but it looks sound to me. Of course, I tend to handwave the weird parts anyway, just my two skulls for the throne.

Aaah, Astropaths, or as I call them, Telefaxus Glorficius.

@Ramellan The Tome of Fate is not slow to me. Are you running on an old computer or laptop. My Lenovo ThinkPad with an i5 and 8GB RAM might get a 100ms pause between pages, but it does not happen with every page. Have you tried downloading the file again?

I will be getting Tome of Decay on Tuesday morning with some other PDFs as well.

Went ahead and bought it, no problems. Also, pretty happy with it, even though Nurgle is my least favorite god (I have a sensitive stomach)

It's good to have the final book. Overall I'm a little unhappy that FFG decided to screw over Unaligned players again, but the book does have a lot of good stuff in it.

Not really in the current codex and even in the chaos daemons codex you cannot have an unaligned daemon prince you have to be a daemon prince of the respective god. Considering the nature of the chaos gods and how they bicker and fight I don't think they would make unaligned daemon princes that often in my opinion.

Honestly it seems like that GW is phasing out unaligned/undivided going by current fluff and the codex's.

Recieved my copy on Friday after it was lost in the warp for nearly 2 weeks (thanks post office  ).

Had a chance to start reading over the weekend.

As usual I started the book mostly backwards with the world fluff which is great so far.

Even though I enjoy to make my own tweaks to a setting I would still love to see a much expanded gazeteer of the vortex.

Quick skim of the adventure and have to say it felt a bit forced.

Artwork is fantastic as always.

Hoping to find a bit of time to dive into the rules over the next few days.

So...  when is the next book out?  :D :P ;)

I want information on the Anathema. That one place in the Vortex where Order rules over Chaos. If it's not the Necrons (they have they're own world) then what? Of course, maybe I should just stick with my own ideas. Who knows what FFG would come up with.

The way I read Anathema, I always thought of necrons. Necron pylons, to be specific.

Gamergate Primer

Unified WH40kRP Ruleset Homebrew - Personal Notes
Talking Necrons. Dreadknights. Centurion Armour. Sororitas-murdering Grey Knights.
These things are dumb and do not exist. This is non-negotiable and undebatable.

The intro "Inevitable Decay" and "Imparting Hope to a Hopeless Existence" for Nurgle was awesome. I think it was the best intro of the four Chaos Gods books. It just screamed Heresy. Can't wait to read more. :D

Thats how the chaos gods roll! Khorne don't like it when a champion could stop taking skulls and start using psychic powers to beguile his oponents instead...

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. No new Greater Daemon stats and abilities for the Great Unclean One, no alien race previously covered by canon (ToF did Necrons, ToB did Orks, ToE did Dark Eldar, ToD did...nothing). I like some of the features in the book, but I feel like it could have been so much more.

The other gods pick they favorites but ALL are welcome in Nurgle's arms...

Mortarion: "blood for the bloodgod this and skulls for the skullthrone that! It's all about what Khorne wants isn't it? Atleast father Nurgle GIVES!"

Given how each alien race seemed to fit the Tome, I expected there to be Tyranid stats there, what with Tyranids spreading and consuming like a plague or infestation.

The Great Unclean One was already in the core book. The Tome of Fate didn't have the Lord of Change either, for the same reasons (although they really could've used a reprint of the statblock given the errors in the original, namely giving it wrong the name and forgetting the natural weapons/equipment). The book could've used a Nurgle Daemon Prince, however (even ToF had one of those, although the statblock also looked like it was a complete misprint....).

Two books with daemon engine creation rules makes part of the book an errata that costs money.
